Community guidelines

Chwippy is a friendly neighbourhood app which empowers people to express themselves.

We want Chwippy to be a safe place for everyone. We have highlighted what content is not permissible. We reserve the right to decide at our sole discretion what content violates the rules.

The following are not permissible on the platform.

1. Sexual content and pornography – We prohibit and form of sexual content, pornography or nudity on the platform.
2. Violence and Graphic imagery – Certain content may be newsworthy for the neighbourhood. We will at our sole discretion determine if this can be allowed.
3. Harassment and bullying – We strictly prohibit any kind of harassment or bullying
4. Encouraging self harm and suicide – Intimidation, threats, encouraging someone to self harm or commit suicide is not allowed.
5. Fake information – we prohibit spreading false information. If you are unable to verify information or do not know it to be true, do not publish it on the platform.
6. Illegal activities – We prohibit publishing of any form of information which may be considered illegal in your local jurisdiction. To name a few these may include criminal activity, buying selling illegal drugs, weapons, sex trafficking, human trafficking, gambling.
7. Hateful content – We strictly prohibit any form of hate speech that defames, demeans, discriminates on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, disability, weight to name a few
8. Terrorism – Content that supports terrorism, violence and extremism is prohibited.
9. Infringement of IPR – Do not post content that infringes on any other person or organisation’s IPR. Only post what is owned by you.
